I haven’t spoken a lot about this because I’ve been super busy, but I have the awesome opportunity to fly to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to attend the Beer Bloggers and Writers Conference of 2017!! Here are my 9 reasons.
#1 Location, Location, Location
Milwaukee, Wisconsin!! Formerly known as the Beer Capital of the World is home to the legends like Pabst, Schlitz, Millers and Blatz. We’ll be touring some of the facilities and absorbing the rich history that comes with this city.
#2 New Experience
I haven’t traveled all that much in my adult life, but in the last several years, I’ve had the urge to experience new places, cultures, people and food. Going to Wisconsin and eventually to Michigan, will be a eye opener into the eclectic world that I live.
#3 Learning Experience
This is by far the most important aspect of my attending. As a new blogger and writer and that of beer, I am open to learning so much during this 3 day adventure. Media experts, marketing directors and full time bloggers will be in attendance sharing their experience, perspective and giving you the scoop on how to do what you love.
#4 Such a Great Deal
You’ve heard the notion that if its too good to be true, it probably isn’t, well that’s what I thought when I first heard about this conference! For only $145, you get 3 days of lectures, brewery tours, interviews, massive amount of content (for the blogger) and of course food and beer. You can’t beat this deal.
#5 Sponsor List
I mean did you see the sponsors for this event?!? See them Here.
#6 The Events
So the agenda has been updating every time I look at it and that makes me excited!! Why? That means what I was originally excited about at sign up, there’s even more being added!! For instance, there’s a Stone Brewery tap takeover pre-party, a beer expo and a cool event called Live Beer Blogging, where brewers will have a couple minutes to talk about their beer, pour it as we taste it. This should be fun.
#7 My Presentation
So if you go to the website, scroll down all the way to the bottom, you’re going to see my name. Why? Because I volunteered to participate in an Ignite Talk! Ah! I’m crazy for doing this! As I write these 9 reasons, I realize I also have 9 days to finalize the presentation.
#8 If There’s Beer, I’m There
There’s going to be a lot of beer. Need I say more?
One of the reasons I love this community so much is because of the waves of love shown from beer lover to another. This is going to be great opportunity to connect with others all over the US and support what they are doing in their parts of the community. I plan on making some new friends and maybe even meeting businesses that would help support the vision I have for Uncap Everything.
